Story

Inspired to take on a 100KM Ultra Marathon at the Triple AAAs last year!, I’m in need of your support.

Please donate, any funds big or small, will make a difference to Reubens Retreat. 🙏

Having done Couch to 5K during the pandemic and odd Park Run, to complete an ultra marathon is me 'jumping in at the deep end'! For those who know me I don't do things by half! We never know what is round the corner for any of us and what fate has in store. Knowing I'm doing this for such an amazing cause will keep me and the fabulous Reuben’s Racers inspired to make a difference to many lives!

Bigger, better, further! The second time in 2 years Travel Industry Greats take on their biggest adventure to date, the iconic Race To The Stones Challenge. Travel professionals from well known businesses such as Fred Holidays, Barrhead Travel, EasyJet Holidays, A-ROSA River Cruises and many more will be pushing both our minds and our bodies to the limits as we cover a staggering 100km distance from Lewknor to Avebury in an endurance test like no other… Why on earth would we put ourselves through such a tough time? For the amazing Reuben’s Retreat…. A charity founded on one mummy’s promise just two days after her son passed away in her arms.

Launched in 2012 after the tragic loss of Reuben Michael Graham at just 23 months old, Reuben’s Retreat is a charity supporting families of child loss and families of children living with medical complexities. They offer a wide range of social, emotional and practical support including one-to-one counselling, holistic therapies, peer support groups, interactive therapy sessions, short UK breaks and bespoke memory-making activities and events. They are currently working with over 650 individuals who are navigating tough times or facing uncertain futures. They are completely funded by donations and rely on kind hearts and generous souls to provide the vital services on offer. They are also renovating their forever home in stages and have already completed 6 out of 10 phases of an ambitious build project. When completed, it will be a home-from-home for families to relax, recharge, remember & rebuild.

£10 would pay for a bereavement pack for a brother or sister who has lost their sibling

£25 would pay for a sensory session for a child with additional needs to enjoy with their family

£40 would pay for a counselling session for a parent grieving the loss of their child

£55 would pay for a hydrotherapy session for the whole family in our state-of-the-art pool

Every penny YOU donate to our page will take Reuben’s Retreat a step closer to completing their vision as well as supporting the wonderful work they do with very special families on a daily basis. Thank you!
