At Passion For Learning we LOVE helping people and we LOVE Christmas. We do all we can to keep the magic and spirit of Christmas alive through fun, support and immersive learning experiences. We are starting this fundraising to ensure we can do this again this Christmas. We really want to help schools, families and children through December and these are the projects we need funding for:-

Project 1 Santa’s Immersive workshop

Through the month of December, we invite over 200 children to come to Santa’s Workshop and leave technology behind, step into the spirit and magic of Christmas and join us for an educational, immersive experience. Children will be joined by our Passion for Learning elves and will become an elf for a day. They will do festive tasks that an elf does in the lead up to December 25th. They will have to sort Santa’s letters, Check the nice list, make and wrap presents and even load Santa’s Sleigh. The experience finishes with a visit from the big man himself for hot chocolate and a magical Christmas story. We have developed this experience to be festive, fun and educational for the children to understand Christmas is about giving and doing nice things for others.

Project 2 Christmas Dinner with an amazing school

On December 11th we visit a wonderful school in Chester where our staff cook and serve a 2 course Christmas dinner for the entire school. All teachers and children sit down together to pull crackers, tell bad jokes and sing along to the festive songs. We appreciate how hard the teachers work, enriching the lives of these amazing autistic children with additional complex needs and we want to help. We pull out all the stops so the entire school can really celebrate and enjoy the day. A turkey dinner with all the trimmings followed by dessert and even a visit from Buddy the Elf and Santa Clause. We really want to continue with this as it means so much to us, the teachers and the amazing children.

Project 3 Give a family a Christmas

We liaise with various schools we work with to nominate a family that may need help or support during the festive season. The chosen families will receive a selection of age-appropriate present for each child, a Christmas tree with decorations and a hamper of food and treats for them all to share and hopefully help ease the pressures the festive season can bring. In 2023 we chose 5 families to receive a Christmas, this year we would love to double the number of families we can support.

Project 4 Every child gets one

Passion for learning each week supports around 600 children through various means. Anything From 1 to 1 support to enrichment clubs. At Christmas we create a festive bag that these Children take home to keep. We fill the bag with an Art Set, Christmas activity book, selection box and a story book. This year again we want to make sure Every Child gets one.
