Story

We all have our individual life stories regarding our families journey and challenges with Pans and Pandas. We have come together to run as a team to raise awareness and funds for this wonderful charity.

The team consists of the below awsome six:

Chris Sanders

Neil Madden

Robert Wakeling

Sharon Hilton

Nichola Olds

Chris Finnegan

We embark on this run as individuals coming together as a team which in some way feels similar to the Pans Pandas Community, Supporting each other, sharing our stories and ultimately understanding.

It can be a lonely experience for both the children and the wider family suffering with these terrible illnesses and the support arm of the charity is sometimes a life line to parents.

The continual drive to push the recognition and development of effective treatment plans with the medical community is vital and we thank the volunteers and professionals connected with the charity for their valuable time and effort.

Come Join us and cheer us on as we embark on our challenge and please please donate what you can afford as it all gets put to good use.

PANS and PANDAS are conditions causing inflammation in the brain resulting in neuro-psychiatric symptoms such as OCD, tics, eating disorders, anxiety, regression and in sever cases this can include hallucinations and seizures. These occur suddenly, following an infection such as Covid-19 or Strep.

More commonly affecting children, these conditions can be isolating and life changing. PANS PANDAS UK's mission is to ensure speedy diagnosis and effective treatment for sufferers by educating the medical community as well as offering support to sufferers and their families.
