At the turn of midnight on the 14th of October 2024 I will be setting of from Blackpool Tower with the aim of walking to The Christie Hospital in Manchester within 24 hours - just short of 60 miles.

A Friend of mine decided to set this walk up in memory of his mum who sadly lost her life to cancer 40 years ago at the age of just 51. Blackpool was where they used to holiday as a family and The Christie is where his mum passed away.

A little closer to home, Christie's successfully treated my sister for skin cancer and also provided treatment for my late father-in-law who sadly passed away to cancer during COVID, and currently providing treatment to my dear friend Nicky who has been diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer.

Any donation is appreciated, no matter how big or small.

Cancer is responsible for so much pain and heartache in our lives, let's try and do our bit by raising some funds that will hopefully go to identifying a possible cure for this horrid disease
