Story
In 2022, heavy monsoon rains in Pakistan damaged more than a million homes. Whole villages were submerged, with at least 1,700 people killed and over 12,000 injured.
The tens of millions of vulnerable people who survived the devastation, now endure the painfully long struggle of rebuilding their lives. All while facing injury, water-borne disease, hunger, homelessness, and psychological distress.
Human Appeal, an official Pakistan partner in the flood response, has been on the ground providing food, hygiene and dignity kits, medical aid, shelter and clean water.
As flood waters recede, recovery begins with home construction, infrastructure projects, and long-term care for orphans.
Our pledge is to raise £2,400 to build a secure home and save a family from homelessness. 🏠
This will be a secure one-room brick home complete with kitchen and washroom that will serve as a stable address for receiving additional recovery support and assistance.
Please donate towards our goal to help our brothers and sisters in need.
“Say, ‘Indeed, my Lord extends provision for whom He wills of His servants and restricts [it] for him. But whatever thing you spend [in His cause] - He will compensate it; and He is the best of providers.’” [Qur’an 34:39]
