Story
One More City is an annual cycling campaign that moves from city to city, starting from where the previous year’s ride has finished
Since 2017, One More City has completed seven rides through six countries, raising nearly £400,000 for secondary breast cancer research in the UK.
The ethos of One More City is that the journey is never over; we are always progressing towards the next city, there are always more kilometres to do, more climbs to conquer and more challenges to face. This is akin to the reality of anyone living with cancer, especially secondary cancer, for whom the challenge is never over; there are always more treatments to endure, more scans to face, more side effects to manage.
My link to OMC: After a few cameos as a windbreak for Hen's group on the odd day here and there over the years, see photo above from 2022, I realised I need to step up and take on the full ride. Having never done back to back long days on the bike before this is going to be quite a challenge for me.
So c.800kms over 4 days and far too much climbing awaits. It's all in aid of One More City, see above. Many of you will have met and been inspired by Christine, who set the whole thing up, at several Etapes and any event taking place in Co.Kerry so know what a great cause it is.
If you can donate anything it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
