We will deliver and coordinate support to people with MND until a cure is found.

Story

Myself and Dean Sutherland are going to be undertaking the David Goggins Challenge or commonly known as the 4x4x48 in aid of Mark Ferguson and MND Scotland during the month of June.

Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is an uncommon condition that affects both the brain and nerves. It causes weakness that unfortunately get worse over time. Currently there is no cure for MND, but there are treatments to help reduce the impact it has on a person's daily life.

We feel that undertaking this challenge will make people more aware of the disease whilst also raising funds to assist in the great work MND Scotland does on a daily basis!

The challenge we are partaking in consists of running 4 miles, every 4 hours over a 48 hour period. This is equivalent to 2 marathons in 2 days!

We are looking to make a start at 6pm on Friday 7th of June with our last run being at 2pm on Sunday 9th of June.

The first run would be leaving Catto Park in Cove on the Friday, with the last run leaving and returning to The Langdykes Cove on the Sunday for both food and drinks to celebrate.

We will in due course publish the running routes and times for each run for others who would like to join in with the runs or just attend for support.

Any local businesses that would like to partake in the event please feel free to make contact with Myself or Dean Sutherland .

Please note all donations big or small are welcomed. We hope to gain the support required to smash our target of £5000 by the time our last run comes to an end!
