Sponsored Walk · 8 March 2025

Story

Led by Fr Michael, we are going to embark on a challenging 43 km (27 mile) sponsored walk. The plan is to walk from Tower Bridge along the South side of the Thames (through Battersea, Putney, Mortlake, Richmond and Kingston) and then head towards the finish at OLI Church.

This year, the Parish has opted to support the following four charities during Lent. The projects are:

(1) Divya Chhaya Society, India – Hospital providing primary care to a destitute and malnourished population.

(2) Obinofia Community Primary School, Nigeria – Renovation of a primary school.

(3) Vathiry Sacred Heart College, Karaveddy, Sri Lanka – Resources for school for 388 children from very poor backgrounds.

(4) Mapeera Bakateyamba Home run by the Good Samaritan Sisters, Uganda – Caring for 75 elderly including disabled and incapacitated.
