Story
As the festive season approaches, I am reminded of the joy and warmth that Christmas brings. For over a decade, my wife and I have been spreading this joy through our annual Luton Christmas Lights display. Our home is transformed into a magical wonderland, both inside and out, with an ever-increasing display of Christmas lights. But our display is more than just a spectacle; it is a personal challenge that we undertake to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition that affects more than 10,800 people in the UK. It causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system, making it difficult to breathe and digest food. As retirees ourselves, we understand the challenges that come with age. But for those living with CF, these challenges are amplified tenfold. That's why we are advocating for effective treatment for all those affected by this condition.
Our niece was diagnosed with CF at a young age, which inspired us to take action. Over the years, we have raised nearly £100K for Cystic Fibrosis Trust through our Luton Christmas Lights display. This year, we are setting ourselves a target of £10,000 to continue supporting this cause.
We invite you to join us in spreading joy and hope this festive season by supporting our personal challenge for Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Every donation counts towards making a difference in the lives of those affected by CF.
