We share the vision of an end to the pain & suffering of eating disorders

Story

Thank you for taking time to visit our Just Giving page. In July, we will be attempting to swim from Switzerland to France across lake Geneva (13km) in order to raise money for Beat, the UK's largest eating disorder charity. Beat supports individuals with an eating disorder, such as anorexia and bulimia, as well as supporting their friends and family.

Food eating disorders continue to be a major illness with up to 3.4 million people in the UK being affected by an eating disorder. This cause is especially close to Oscar’s heart with his cousin having been in and out of hospital during the last couple of years with severe anorexia and he has seen first hand the devastating effects of the disease for all involved.

Food eating disorders continue to rise amongst young individuals, with around 24% of university students suffering from some form of eating disorder during their time at university (National Eating Disorder Association).

We would be hugely grateful if you would be willing to support our swim by donating to this amazing charity.

A special thank you to Stint, for sponsoring us and making the swim possible.
