Trek for Health

40 GSK & ViiV employees have been selected to take part in Orange United’s Trek for Health. Trek for Health is a 10-day challenge trekking to the summit of Mount Kenya in February 2025 supporting Save the Children and Amref Health Africa.

Story

I have been selected to participate in Trek for Health 2025.

In February 2025 I will take on a 7-day challenge to climb to the summit of Mount Kenya. I will also visit an Amref Health Africa programme in Kenya where some of my fundraising will support.

I am one of 40 employees taking on this challenge across GSK & ViiV and we will represent 23 countries.

I am proud to take on this challenge, supporting Save the Children and Amref Health Africa because their missions have a been big part of my life. Since 2016, I've been a co-chair for the Upper Providence Orange United Committee. My passion began 25 years ago in Zimbabwe, where I saw firsthand the challenges children face. Participating in the Trek for Health would allow me to directly contribute to those families and fulfill a lifelong dream to return to Africa.

Together we aim to raise over £160,000 and this will be matched by GSK.

Thank you for your support!
