Story
I'm 44, and ten years ago, I found out I was scared of heights. Having been at the top of the Empire State Building and the Eifel Tower, halfway up a pyramid in Mexico, my legs stopped working.
On September 22nd, I'm going to be in Liverpool, at my football club, and I'm going to Abseil down the side of Liverpool's main stand. It is going to be hard.
After getting to the ground, my legs might not work again for a bit. I'll probably let someone film the whole ordeal.
Why am I doing this, then?
Because this is going to raise money for a great cause: Special Effect.
By supporting me, you will make a direct and real difference to physically disabled people supported by Special Effect, helping to get the most out of life, bringing confidence and rehabilitation through the magic of gaming. Special Effect's team of Occupational Therapists and Gaming Specialists in the UK create bespoke technology, ranging from modified controllers to eye-tracking sensors to physically disabled gamers right across the world.
