Story
On Sunday, April 7th, I will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for Refugee Action.
Since 1981, Refugee Action has delivered crucial frontline services for refugees while tirelessly campaigning for their rights. Their vision is simple yet profound: a UK where refugees and asylum seekers are embraced, can gain justice, live free of poverty and successfully rebuild their lives.
I’m aware of the refugee crises around the world, afflicting regions such as the Democratic Republic of Congo, Palestine, and my homeland, Cameroon. Sadly, recent years have seen a surge in hostility towards and negative portrayals of refugees, exacerbating their already daunting challenges. Having witnessed the hardships faced by refugees, I felt compelled to stand with them. That’s why I’ve chosen to support Refugee Action. Refugees not only deserve acceptance but also genuine welcome and the chance to rebuild their lives and thrive in safety.
Please donate if you can. Every contribution will help Refugee Action continue its work standing up for the rights of refugees. Your support can help pave the way for a more just future where refugees are embraced.
Thank you for being a part of this meaningful effort!
