Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Sunday 8th October I will be running the Lisbon marathon with a group of mates, raising funds for Scleroderma, the disease which killed my aunt, Nicky, two years ago. Scleroderma is a rare, chronic auto-immune disease of the immune system, blood vessels and connective tissue. Nicky was diagnosed when she was 38 and I was a year old. She died two years ago at the age of 57 having lived with the devastating impact of the disease for nearly 20 years. She was an incredible, kind and the most amazing aunt/second mum, to my brother and I (she was the ‘fun mum’!). We all miss her hugely and life will never be the same.
Scleroderma is extremely rare and as such does not attract the huge research funds that similarly devastating diseases get so anything you can donate will have an enormous impact. Please be generous as my Aunt deserved it.
