Story
After over 700km of training runs, Manchester Marathon is fast approaching.
I am raising money for Alzheimer’s research as I have seen first hand the horrible effect dementia has had on my Grandad and many others. Dementia begins to take your loved ones away from you long before they actually pass.
My Grandad, Doug, has lived his life by seizing every day. He was a social butterfly who seemingly knew everyone. He had an amazing get up and go and was swimming and hiking into his late 70s. Unfortunately, dementia has taken all of this away from him.The charity are working towards cures for the diseases that cause dementia, which I’m sure you’d all agree would make the world a better place.
If you are able to and want to donate, please donate what you can to help Alzheimer’s research’s work towards finding a cure to this debilitating condition.
Below is a bit on the charity:
Every 3 minutes dementia steals a happily ever after. Research is our only chance of changing the ending for people affected by dementia.
We are the UK's leading dementia research charity. We exist for a cure.
Your donation helps our scientists and researchers find new ways to diagnose dementia, develop new treatments and find a cure for dementia.
