Wee update:
Sam has just completed the Copenhagen Marathon in 3hour 52 mins!
We’re all very proud at Firefly and hope to keep fundraising for a fantastic cause!
Sam ran the Bristol half marathon last year. He is now onto his next challenge - the Copenhagen Marathon on the 5th of May for Firefly. Juggling an educational and work schedule, Sam hopes to complete the marathon whilst also contributing to this incredible charity that has profound and direct impact on communities throughout Turkey, Syria, Gaza and the West Bank.
Children don’t start wars. But wars take away their parents, wreck their schools, destroy their homes.Wars disrupt the day-to-day certainties that every child needs.
Firefly provide vital aid to repair the damage caused by wars and doesn’t leave when the fighting stops. Firefly stays, to help heal the scars and bring back stability and certainty.
Firefly teaches Syrian refugee children in places where there’s no other early years education. The money you donate will provide a chance for these children to play, to learn, to paint and to make music.
War goes on. Children still suffer, and Firefly has more to do now than ever considering the destruction left behind by the horrific earthquakes that destroyed communities across Turkey and Syria last year. We must take action now. Children in Gaza and the West Bank are suffering from famine and a lack of security caused by the constant and indiscriminate bombardment from Israeli forces. Firefly hopes to continue providing essential aid to those most in need.
Firefly needs your help. So, please help me help Firefly repair the damage caused by war.
