Biffa & WasteAid are proudly working in partnership to make waste work around the world. The Infrastructure Fund campaign aims to raise funds to support waste workers around the world to lift themselves from poverty and clean their environment

Story

We are a group of five colleagues from Biffa, all in different roles, in different parts of the country, who are uniting together to jump out of a plane on the 25th June at Hinton Skydiving Centre to support the incredible work WasteAid do.

WasteAid is an independent UK charity, set up by waste management professionals to share practical and low-cost waste management knowledge with communities in low-income countries. Communities with little or no waste management infrastructure have damaging effects on the local environment and the residents’ health, as a result of waste making its way into rivers and seas.

Jumping on the day will be:

Clare Vaughan (Project Manager), Gary Perks (Depot Manager), Olivia Penfold (Junior Project Manager), Rob Campbell (Transfer Station Manager) and Natalie Warren-Green (Change Manager).

If you would like to witness the sheer panic/fear on our faces on the day, please drop the team a message for further details to come watch at the dropzone.

Please give us the extra incentive to leap for our lives by sponsoring us! As a huge thank you to anyone who donates, there will be 2 names drawn at random who will receive a prize for their generosity!

To Biffinity & Beyond!!!

1 in 3 people globally do not have a waste management service and have no option but to burn or dump their waste, much of it ending up in the oceans. We share waste management and recycling skills that help people to help themselves from poverty, improve public health, and protect the environment
