Story
On 22nd June we (Linda, Danny, Olivia, Ruby, Jodie, Sam D, Mandy, Sam N, Katie, Matt, Elliott and Harry) will be walking 10 miles for Kirkwood Hospice.
On the 5th July 2023 David was transferred to Kirkwood Hospice where he stayed until he peacefully passed away on the 6th October 2023.
This time period at the end of David’s life was not something you ever thought could be made even slightly easier - remarkably The Kirkwood Hospice managed that. The care from every single staff member at The Kirkwood Hospice during this time was unfathomable. Kirkwood Hospice will always remain in our hearts.
The Kirkwood Hospice is not something you hope you’d need, but unfortunately in many cases it is. We will be walking the memory walk to both remember David and raise vital funds for this incredible organisation that we are so fortunate to have available.
For more than a decade, The Kirkwood Midnight Memory Walk has been a special event that brings the community together to honour and remember amazing people. This annual walk is not just a fundraiser but a chance to celebrate the legacy of those special people in our lives.
It's a challenge to walk 6 or 10 miles late at night, but with your support, I can take on this challenge.
The Kirkwood is needed more than ever, and your support can make a big difference in the lives of patients and families who rely on us during the most challenging times. It's only through the generosity of people like you that we can continue to improve the quality of life for those in need, even against all odds. By sponsoring me, you'll be contributing to the continued work of The Kirkwood and supporting life in your communities for those who need us most.
