On 5th September 2021 our son Hugo was born with a rare bleeding condition; Severe Haemophilia A.

Haemophilia A is a life long and genetic disorder caused by missing or defective Factor 8, a clotting protein. A specific protein is missing from the blood so that when Hugo does injure himself he cannot heal in the usual way.

Since he has been born he has gone through several surgeries and has regular treatment to help manage his condition and as always he takes it all in he stride!

On the 21st April 2024 I will be running the London Marathon to raise much needed funds for The Haemophilia Society, they do not receive government funding so with your help THS can continue providing vital resources, from educational materials to community events, that make a tangible difference in people’s lives.

The Haemophilia Society have helped us so much from endless amounts of information to a Newly Diagnosed Weekend to meet families like ourselves to relate too and know we are not alone.
