**UPDATE 2025
The bone will be back for the London Marathon in 2025!!
I didn't quite reach my fundraising target in 2024 so the bone will be back in April 2025 to try and break the £20,000 mark.
This is a cause very close to my heart and I am even more determined to raise vital funds for Sarcoma UK this year.
Please consider making a donation to help support this important cause**
Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. I am excited to announce that I will be participating in the London Marathon 2024 as part of Team Sarcoma. This marathon is not just a personal challenge for me, but an opportunity to raise awareness and funds for Sarcoma UK, a national charity that supports those affected by sarcoma cancer.
Sarcoma is a rare type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. Every day, 15 people in the UK are diagnosed with sarcoma - approximately 5,300 people each year. This is why I am advocating for this cause and asking for your support.
By donating to my fundraiser, you can help fund vital research, keep the specialist Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care. Your contribution will make a significant impact on those affected by sarcoma cancer.
This cause is particularly close to my heart as my wife Kripa was diagnosed with liposarcoma in January 2023. Thanks to early detection and treatment, she is now cancer-free. Sarcoma UK provided invaluable support during this challenging time, which is why I am committed to giving back through this fundraiser.
My fundraising target is ambitious - £20,000 - but with your help, I know we can achieve it together. To make things even more challenging (and fun!), I will be running the marathon in fancy dress as a bone.
Please consider making a donation today and join me in supporting this important cause.
