Story
As you may be aware, over a decade ago I was diagnosed with a spinal disease (Ankylosing Spondylitis), suffering for 7+ damaged discs in my neck, back and spine. My aim for a long time has always been to run/walk the London Marathon to raise money for charity, this looks to be a long way away at this time. However, I have be invited to the 9k Watford Memory Walk 2024 for the Alzheimer’s Society in September, a charity very close to home.
Both my grandparents were diagnosed with Dementia/Alzheimer's some years ago. It is a terrible, debilitating condition that takes everything from a person, not only their memory.
They say that with Alzheimer’s you do not lose the person you love once, but twice.
Alzheimer’s Society work towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
Please donate anything you can to this important and amazing charity.
Thank you, Oliver 🙏🏻
