Running the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 for Anaphylaxis UK

London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 ·
Thank you for visiting my page. I’m proud to be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 and raising important funds and awareness for Anaphylaxis UK.
In the UK, 1-2% of adults and 5-8% of children have a food allergy; this equates to nearly 3 million people. Hospital admissions due to allergies and anaphylaxis in England have nearly doubled in the last twenty years, and 20% of serious allergic reactions to food happen whilst a child is at school.
I was diagnosed with a severe peanut allergy at 18 months old, and I have lived with the risk of anaphylaxis ever since. Carrying epipens has been a constant part of my life. Alongside the physical challenges, I have often struggled with the stigma attached to allergies—whether it’s due to a lack of awareness or being dismissed as overreacting or difficult. While public perception has improved over time, there is still much work to be done to ensure that allergy sufferers feel safe and supported in their daily lives.
Anaphylaxis UK is the only UK-wide charity operating solely for the growing numbers of people at risk of serious allergic reactions and anaphylaxis. For 30 years, they have been striving for a brighter and safer future for everyone living with a serious allergy by providing trusted and scientifically-based resources and training to individuals and families, education settings, businesses, and healthcare professionals.
Thank you for supporting my journey and the vital work of Anaphylaxis UK.
