Sue Ryder supports people through the most difficult times of their lives. Whether that’s a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one or a neurological condition – they’re there when it matters. Their doctors, nurses and carers give people the compassion and expert care they need to help them live the best life they possibly can.

Sue Ryder is a charity also close to my heart after they provided end of life care to my Nan (Janet) almost two years ago. Their care and support made the overall experience a lot easier for both Janet and my family.

Whilst I will be running for both Sue Ryder and in memory of Janet on the 21st April, she would've undoubtedly questioned why I was doing this but here we are. She was a special person who was never scared of making her feelings known but cared so much for her family and has been sorely missed since.

I feel honoured to be given the opportunity to represent Sue Ryder in this prestigious event and will give it my all in training and on the day.
