TPS Marathon Walk - 20th April 2024

The TPS staff will be undertaking their second marathon challenge, this year completing the 'Palace to Palace' leg, walking from Windsor Castle to Hampton Court Palace. This journey will see the team travel through Windsor Great Park, past the Runnymede Air Forces Memorial, before following the River Thames heading east. We hope to travel to the Shooting Star Hospice in Hampton before finally reaching our final destination, TPS!

Shooting Star Children's Hospices cares for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families across Surrey and London. Whether lives are measured in days, weeks, months or years, they are here to make every moment count. They support families from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care.

Our TPS target is to raise £5000 to go towards:

• covering the cost of the Family Support Line for 2 months so that we can be ready to answer any question and provide guidance to families.

• paying for six months pre-bereavement support for a family, providing essential guidance on pain management, family and sibling support, and anticipatory grief.
