Story
My friend and fiancée's cousin, Alice, was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer aged 24 and has spent the last 18 months going through various treatments including chemotherapy and a double mastectomy. In June 2024, surveillance imaging identified five tumours in Alice’s lungs, leading to a diagnosis of metastatic (secondary) cancer.
In spite of all of this, she has remained amazingly positive and has made it her mission to raise awareness and fundraise for cancer research charities.
I’ll be cycling as part of a team, including Alice, in her latest fundraising event: a one-day bike ride from Leicestershire to Norfolk (125 miles).
This will be the furthest I have ever ridden on my bike and all donations will go to Hope Against Cancer, a Leicestershire-based charity which funds cancer research.
Thanks in advance for your help and support!
