Story
Kagando hospital is in a poor rural area of Uganda. Many families cannot afford to pay for medical treatment and delay taking their children for treatment when they are sick. Malaria, typhoid, HIV, sickle cell anaemia and malnutrition are all common, and the child mortality rate is high.
I am doing this challenge - 66 miles and 5000ft climb - to raise money for the C100 fund, which subsidises the fees paid for children who are admitted to hospital. It is enormously appreciated by the families in the area.
