Story
Health is everything. Nothing can open your eyes to that more than stage 3 cancer at 32 years old. From one day to the next, my entire life was flipped upside down, and it felt like everything was completely out of my control.
This year, I celebrated five years cancer free, and since my diagnosis, I've learned that even when things happen that make you feel helpless, life remains full of choices.
So I choose to play. I choose to learn. I choose to cook, and bake, and eat! I choose to open up the good bottle of wine. I choose to travel. I choose to try new things. I choose to hug and kiss my kids--incessantly. I choose to prioritize quality time and create core memories. I choose to explore. And I choose to run.
I'm running 100 miles in October to help the American Cancer Society fight for a world without cancer. Please consider supporting me in this endeavor and donate! Every dime makes a difference. ACS holds top ratings from Charity Navigator, the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance, and Candid, so give with confidence. Thank you for your support!
