Story
We are gearing up to face a 550 nautical mile world record-breaking row across the Arctic Ocean in July. Departing from Tromso, Norway, the Ocean Revival Arctic Rowing team will row for 10-15 days to reach Svalbard in the high North.
Our team is made up of Plymouth-based Royal Marine, Matt Mason, Skipper of the first team to row from New York to London and Plymouth-based Royal Marine Matt Ingles, and Somerset-based businessmen Mark Sealey and Colin Hiscock. With no support vessels, we will be entirely self-sufficient.
We hope to break three world records and raise funds for young, homeless people in Exeter through the work of YMCA Exeter.
YMCA Exeter support over 600 young people in Devon every year in their time of need; helping them overcome adversity and reach their unique potential. This could be through the provision of housing after homelessness, 1-2-1 wellbeing support for mental health challenges, or workplace training and advice after a period of unemployment.
Support us on this record-breaking adventure and donate today.
