Story
“I’m in absolute awe of all that Clan does to support individuals and families in the north east. From the team behind the scenes to the selfless volunteers, they’re continually working to make life better for those affected by cancer. It’s a pleasure to fundraise for this amazing charity”
– Laura Mearns, Managing Director
What we’re doing:
• Garioch 10k - 14th May
Juliet, Laura and Steven are donning their trainers to run at 10k - each hoping to smash their PB times.
• Lochnagar climb - 24th August
The Northwood and TaxAssist Aberdeen teams have begun squatting in preparation to climb Lochnagar. This is the first munro for many of our team!
• The Beast Race - 23rd September
Juliet, Scott, Cammy, Laura and Steven are challenging themselves to the Beast Race - bring on the burn (and mud!)
• The Big Hop trail - 2nd July - 3rd September
We're proud sponsors of a hare in this year's Big Hop Trail. At the moment, the design is being kept underwraps but keep your eyes peeled!
Clan is well-established local charity providing emotional and practical support to people affected by cancer across the north-east Scotland, Moray, Orkney and Shetland. Services include information and support, counselling, complementary therapies, social and wellbeing activities and dedicated support for children and families. For those travelling to Aberdeen hospitals for appointments or treatment, we also offer affordable B&B accommodation at Clan Haven alongside assistance with transport to and from hospital.
Community is at the heart of all we do.
Each year we select up to three local charities or organisations to raise money for and this year, we’re supporting:
- Clan Cancer Support
- Polska Szkoła (the Polish School)
