Story
In 2021 our close mate Andy McAslan was diagnosed with follicular lymphoma which is an incurable blood cancer.
He underwent successful chemotherapy but the cancer could return at any point in his life and is sadly already starting to slowly grow back.
The weight of this hanging over Andy has made living a normal life without anxiety and worry very difficult. This is where Maggie's came in - a charity focused on providing support and therapy to those with cancer and their loved ones. Maggie's provided Andy and his family a safe place when times were dark. They supported him throughout from diagnosis to remission and that's why we wanted to give something back.
We will be starting in Manchester with a relay race running through the day and night towards Buckingham Palace in London (340kms total). All runners are completing at a minimum a half marathon and although this may seem easy to some, doing it at 4am with no sleep isn't it. And there will also be plenty of logistical challenges along the way, which I'm sure will slow us down!
Please do get involved, donate to such a great cause, and support us!
