Its competition time! To help you show your cat some love this valentines day, we are launching our Valentine’s free prize competition for all our wonderful supporters.

To be in with the chance of winning a prize for your cat, or your family, follow the instructions below to enter our Valentine’s competition, while helping to make a better life for cats.

Cats like Marlow, who came to us after straying for quite a long time. Unfortunately, we received a call on Christmas Eve from a caring family who saw Marlow with a badly broken leg. Marlow is a gentle soul and was wary of strangers after straying for so long. After days of trying, and with help from the caring family who had seen Marlow straying, we managed to transport Marlow to our vets.

As expected, Marlow’s leg was broken in multiple places and damaged beyond repair. The vet made the difficult decision to remove Marlow’s leg, and since then he has been making a speedy recovery. Marlow is now received lots of TLC from our staff and volunteers at our Adoption Centre, and he is enjoying his home comforts of heat, regular food, toys, and love and attention!

Marlow is now ready to find his home and is looking for a loving family to help him continue to adjust to having three legs. As Marlow was a stray, we do not know a lot about his background, however, after being wary of strangers, Marlow has turned into a sweet and loving boy who will settle well in a loving home.

Marlow’s story is just a snapshot of the number of cats that will come into our care this year. Taking part in our Valentines free prize competition will help us to continue to help make a better life for cats. For every £1, you will receive one entry to the competition. There is a minimum transaction of £2 by Just Giving, which we cannot change, so you will receive two entries to the draw.

If you would like to enter the competition for free, please post your name, address and contact details on a postcard to the Cats Protection, Northern Ireland Cat Centre, 270 Belfast Road, Dundonald, BT16IUE, and reference "Valentine’s competition".

Competition entries close on 14th February at 4pm.

Free entries will be considered if they arrive no later than 4pm on 14th February 2025.

Winners will be announced on Facebook 21th February and will be contacted by phone or email.

3rd Prize – Cat treat hamper

4th Prize – Family of 5 pass to Dundonald Ice Bowl

Important:

1- Please ensure that you supply an email address otherwise we cannot get in touch with you if you win.

2- Please tick the box next to ‘I'm happy to share my contact details with Cats Protection’. This will ensure we are able to get in touch with any winners.

Simply make a donation of £1 per entry or £10 for ten entries and JustGiving will direct the funds to the charity. We will then enter your name and ticket/tickets numbers into our competition automatically; if you require a digital ticket, please let us know. You will receive an email if you are a winner.

Online entries cost £1 each. Every £1 donation = 1 entry. You can also get five entries for £5. Every £10 donation = 10 entries

**JustGiving has a minimum donation of £2. We cannot change this. Therefore minimum purchase online is two tickets**

Terms and conditions:

1. This is a free prize competition.

2. For free entry please post your name, address and contact details on a postcard to Cats Protection Northern Ireland Cat Centre, 270 Belfast Road, Dundonald, BT16 1UE.

3. The closing date for all entries is 14th February at 4pm. Any entries received after this date and time will be excluded from the draw.

4. A random draw will take place on 21st February 2025.

5. Winners will be notified on 21st February 2025. The winner’s name will be listed on our social media platforms.

6. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 21 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

7. All results are final. No correspondence will be entered into.

8. Individuals wishing to support the work of Cats Protection Northern Ireland Cat Centre can do so by making a donation on this page. All funds raised will go to Cats Protection. Registered Charity 203644 (England & Wales) SCO37711 (Scotland).

9. Gift Aid cannot be claimed on any donation in this competition.
