North Hertfordshire College have nominated The Sunshine Appeal, part of East and North Hertfordshire Hospitals' Charity, for our charity of the year.

The charity supports the construction of a new rooftop garden balcony at Lister Hospital, designed so patients can be moved in their beds out into the open air.

The Sunshine Appeal aims to create a beautiful space for patients to feel fresh air, see the sky and have some time away from the machines and bright lights of the wards. The sad fact is, in some cases, it may be the last time they get to see the sky.

The North Hertfordshire College team will be taking part in the upcoming Rainbow Run to help raise money for this incredible cause.
