Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This is the 10th Annual Walk for unpaid Carers. Unpaid Carers are the invisible army of family, friends and volunteers who look after the most vulnerable people in society. Without that help and love provided freely and without limit, over 10 million people would not have the lives they do today. Unpaid carers can be anyone we have carers as young as 8 years old and those who are well over 80 years of age. But to do the work we do we need support, Carers in Hertfordshire provides some of that support provide advice, support, a listening ear. They are the wind beneath the wings of many thousands of unpaid carers. But there are still thousands more unpaid carers struggling on without support. So this walk by unpaid carers and their supporters is to enable Carers in Hertforshire help and reach out to more unpaid carers. In Hertfordshire the NHS and Social Services would have to find £3.1bn to pay people to do the work we do at no cost. Put another way every taxpayer in Hertfordshire would need to pay £80/week in additional tax. So please support the supporters by enabling Carers in Hertfordshire build on the work they do.
