Story
I love Soleros (Exotic only) and have had one a day for probably at least a decade (when available). Not Red Berry, I am not sick. But am I addicted? Of course not. To prove it I am giving up Soleros for a whole month. Admittedly the shortest and coldest month of February but this is still a monumental challenge, harder than running a Marathon or swimming the Channel.
I am going to donate the £23.33 I will save on Soleros and would ask you to consider giving up Soleros for 4 weeks too (or in the unlikely event you don't like Soleros or eat that many of them, something you do like) and give the money to Scope. Or do nothing and assuage your guilt by donating £23.33 or the sum of your choice.
Can I raise half a million pounds doing this? Some would say not, but I would say absolutely definitely. And I won't make it unless you get the ball rolling (no pun intended) RIGHT NOW.
I have been raising money for Scope for almost a quarter of a century now and I know what amazing work they do with these funds, so please do donate if you can. And at the very least join me in refusing to eat a Solero in February.
There are 16 million disabled people in the UK. That’s one in four of us. Life is harder when you’re disabled. You're twice as likely to be unemployed, getting care is a struggle and the cost of living is higher. It’s wrong and unacceptable.
So, I'm fundraising for Scope to create a fairer society.
We want a future that’s fair to disabled people, always. Together we’ll use our collective power to change attitudes and end the injustice.
Join me in making this happen. Let's end disability inequality, today.
