Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As most are aware now I was diagnosed with stomach cancer in October 2023 and was fortunate enough to have an incredible medical team from surgeons, oncologists and nurses that supported me.
I had to have a total gastrectomy to remove the cancer in February 2024 which is the removal of the stomach and 8 rounds of Chemotherapy but thankfully after this treatment I was given the all clear in May 2024.
When I first found out I had cancer I was terrified but determined to get through it, and I can honestly say if it wasn't for the medical professionals that were around me it would have been hard to find that determination some days.
Thanks to Alex and the team of guys who I carryout a challenge with every year, as this year they have allowed me to choose the charity. We raise funds for charities on a yearly basis and put our body's through the mill to raise as much as possible. The charity chosen this year is the Beatson Cancer Charity. From the first day I walked through those doors of the Beatson, fear became hope and the incredible survivor stories you hear gives you the strength and determination to get through it. The staff are incredible, friendly and upbeat and make life as comfortable as possible. They work incredibly hard and are always on their feet to assist so I would love to give something back to this amazing place.
Thanks for your support
