Story
I am raising money in the memory of two of my friends that I lost to cancer. Last year, I donated my hair to an organisation that makes wigs for cancer patients and I want to continue doing whatever I can do to make a difference, no matter how small it is. Hence, I am undertaking this 8K step challenge.
The challenge is to walk at least 8,000 steps every day for 30 days straight. The funds raised will help to treat 8,000 new patients at The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre this year.
Beatson Cancer Charity provides a comprehensive range of wellbeing and specialist services including complementary therapies, specialist health and work support and specialist activities delivered by charity staff and volunteers. The charity is also committed to providing significant funding and services to enhance the experience, treatment, outcomes and wellbeing of current and former cancer patients and their families in partnership with The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre.
Making a donation to this cause would also mean making a difference. Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.
