As someone who recently overcame oesophageal cancer and was treated at the Wirral Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, I will be participating in the Glow Green Night Walk next February to fundraise for this amazing charity. This fundraising event is an 8km walk through Liverpool City centre and helps mark World Cancer Day.

My treatment comprised four sessions of chemotherapy, major surgery (where I had my stomach removed, along with a section of my oesophagus and surrounding lymph nodes), followed by additional chemotherapy.

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre provided me with valuable treatment and support, as they do with thousands of other patients across the region and beyond.
