Story
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.
I am fundraising for this charity because I hold this cause close to my heart. When I run my first half marathon in 2024, it will be 10 years since my mum passed away from cancer. I was 10 years old when it happened, and am now 20. So I thought what better time than the present to do something that has always been on my bucket list, while on my year abroad in Spain, and make my mum proud. To anyone who knew my mum she was an incredible free-spirited woman, who never gave a shit about what others thought of her and lived her life to the fullest. She was the most incredible mum and I wish that she could see me as an adult now, because I am striving to be like her everyday.
Your donations would make me, my sister and dad really grateful, so that more research can go towards trying to find a cure for this awful cancer.
