Story
J.Murphy & Sons are joining the The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) in leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK. Our goal is a life less miserable for you, your friends, your family and for everyone.
Thanks for taking the time to visit our Murphy IT Team Just Giving page.
A small team of 6 are taking on a seriously more difficult challenge which is the 'West Highland Way', we shall start on the 21st Sept in Milngavie and will finish in Fort William on the 25th September and cover a total of 96miles (154km) in the process over 4 days. Murphy IT's security partners 'Quorum Cyber' are also joining this tougher challenge and will be sponsoring Murphy to get the job done whilst supporting this great charity.
This challenge takes in a huge variety of scenery along the way, from countryside parks to loch-shores and open moorlands to steep mountains
Taking Part:
Will Sharman
Mattia Fracassi
Nigel Shaw-Morfitt
Caroline Perry - Social Media Executive (Murphy Security Partner - Quorum Cyber)
Jason Lau - XDR Engineer (Murphy Security Partner - Quorum Cyber)

We will be adding further details for both of our events to this page to help support those who are taking part.
We are all looking forward to coming together for both events to raise money and support the J Murphy & Sons charity CALM.
On the 15th July 2023 the Murphy IT department headed back to Wales, the Wye Valley to be exact and completed a 26 miles Canoe Challenge in just one day. We completed this challenge in 2019 in record time on behalf of the CALM charity but we went back with additional eager participants to take on the Wye River in far different weather conditions.
We paddled approximately 8 hours over the day.
