Nigel's big cycle ride for UNICEF Ireland

Fundraising for UNICEF Ireland
Last year I set off on my 64th birthday, in February, to cycle the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland. I started in Kinsale and reached Galway before I had to return to the UK.
This year I am heading out to complete the Wild Atlantic Way, starting in Galway. I have already done about 1400km so I have about 1200km left to do. The route will continue to take me all around the West coast until I reach Derry. I will be wild camping along the way and leaving no trace!
I have chosen UNICEF as the charity.
Working in more than 190 countries, UNICEF has helped save more children's lives than any other humanitarian organization. Unfortunately we can all see recent examples of terrible situations for children such as Ukraine, Gaza and the Noto earthquake, but there are countless other places where children are suffering every day.
For example, thousands of children under the age of five die every day because they lack proper nutrition, safe drinking water, affordable vaccines and other basic necessities that most people take for granted. UNICEF's lifesaving interventions and programs around the world have helped reduce the number of child deaths by 50% since 1990, and yet 17,000 children still die every day from preventable causes.
So please make a donation now, however small, and make it anonymously if you wish.
