Story

Hi 👋🏻

We're Nicole and Graham and we're running the London Marathon to raise funds for the most incredible and worthwhile charity, Cure Leukaemia.

Nicole got to know Cure Leukaemia when she got the opportunity to partake in riding all 21 Stages of the Tour de France in 2022 as part of the Cure Leukaemia team. Inspired by her Mum, a blood cancer survivor, she completed the Tour and raised £35,000 for Cure Leukaemia. It was a gruelling but life-changing and inspirational experience and her drive to support the charity grew ten-fold.

Graham was there along for the ride with her (emotionally, not quite literally) and hearing stories of how Cure Leukaemia help patients and their families through devastating circumstances, he was inspired to take on the Marathon to raise funds.

Cure Leukaemia is a national blood cancer charity which funds the Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP) which consists of specialist research nurses in 15 of the UK’s biggest cities. TAP enables the rapid setup, recruitment to and delivery of blood cancer clinical trials giving patients from a UK catchment area of over 20 million people access to potentially lifesaving treatments not currently available through standard care. With more supporters, we will fund for nurses, we will run more clinical trials, we will save more lives, we will find a cure.

So far, training has been cold, a little miserable in the Winter but (somewhat) enjoyable. Our training in total will see us each run 750km, that's around 75 hours of training and 900,000 steps of us each putting one foot in front of each other... to raise £7,500 for Cure Leukaemia.

It will be an amazing experience for us, but what will be even more amazing is hitting our target, knowing we've raised vital funds for such a purpose-driven Charity that supports those living with Cancer.

PS - the picture in the header is of Graham, we would like to confirm Nicole is running the Marathon too... the picture is representative of us running together... i.e. Graham Trailblazing and Nicole normally tailing behind him desperately trying to keep up 🤣 (in Nicole's defence, Graham does have very, very long legs).

Please give generously, your support means the world.

Thank you in advance.
