I'm running the BMW Berlin Marathon 2025 for Dementia UK because dementia and Alzheimer's have profoundly impacted my family. Watching loved ones struggle with this devastating disease has shown me the critical need for support, understanding, and resources for families navigating this journey. Dementia UK offers specialist nurses who provide that lifeline, helping families manage the complex and emotional challenges of dementia.

While this charity is based in the UK, dementia knows no borders—it affects individuals and families worldwide. Regardless of location, the need for compassionate support and expert care is universal. Every mile I run is dedicated to honoring the memories of those affected and to raising funds that can bring comfort and guidance to others facing this reality, near and far. Dementia UK is a specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing care to families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease. They help people with dementia stay independent for longer, and support those caring for them so they have the strength to cope with the bad days, and the energy to enjoy the good days. They have the time and knowledge to listen and solve problems, helping families regain control when they are struggling.
