Story
On Sunday 25th of August Myself, My Partner Vangelis, our dog Juno, My Mum Lorraine, my Dad Gordon, My sister Kimberley and brother in law Stephen, My brother Ryan and sister in law Emma, my nephew Jax and my best friends Mhairi and Arron will be taking part in off the Beatson Track.
I have attended the Beatson for over 6 years and through this time the hospital and its staff have saved my life twice. First from an initial diagnosis of Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2018 and then with my relapse diagnosis of Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at the end of last year.
I received a life saving stem cell transplant at the beginning of this year and I am not expected to be back to full health until September. Therefore taking on this event is a massive physical challenge for most of us taking part.
Any donations are greatly appreciated for a wonderful, life saving, charity.
THANK YOU BEATSON 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛
The last ten years have seen over 14,000 participants walk over 86,800 miles - making it Glasgow's brightest sponsored walk as we turn Glasgow's west end Beatson yellow. This fun-filled 10k walk is fully accessible and perfect for all ages, making it a great day out, full of family entertainment, and a great way to raise much needed funds to support patients and families living with cancer.
At Beatson Cancer Charity we believe that no-one should face cancer on their own. This has always been our aim and we will work hard to continue to support even more people and families in the years to come.
Thank you for joining us for what will be a spectacular day, raising funds to support our patients and families across the west of Scotland, who are living with cancer.
We can't wait to go Off The Beatson Track with you all!
