Story

A challenge I set myself in 2009, I'm finally fulfilling my dream of climbing Kilimanjaro.

And who better to drag along with me than Lucy Rand? She was the first person I thought of when the opportunity came up.

We're being joined by Jess and Jack. Jack and the amazing team at Legend Expeditions have made this all possible, right from the initial idea, through planning and then getting us both fit for the challenge.

Meanwhile, back in the UK, the Jane Smith Financial Planning team have set themselves the challenge of walking the same distance!

This has always been about me wanting to do something amazing for myself, but so many people have asked about whether we will be raising money for charity, it seemed an opportunity not to be missed.

With that in mind, we're delighted to be supporting a local charity, Bedford & District Cerebral Palsy Society. Some of you will know that my nephew has cerebral palsy, whilst a friend has just become a trustee. However, the charity also reaches a milestone this year, celebrating their 70th anniversary in 2024. They provide extraordinary activities and adventures for extraordinary young people and provide much needed support for families.

I'd very much appreciate your support. It will make a massive difference to these families and every penny will help push us to the top of Kilimanjaro!
