Story

Ian was born on 16 October 1930 and died on 13 February 2024. He lived a very full and active 93 years, but the Alzheimer's disease made the last few years more difficult and for him and for his family and friends. Ian was a kind and gentle man who worked hard to support his community, as a school governor, as a churchwarden, as a bellringer, as a hospital car driver. He was a keen and capable gardener. Most important to Ian was his family and he will be greatly missed by his wife, brother, children, grandchildren and his many nephews and nieces.

Ian felt that in his life he had benefitted greatly from health research and would be very pleased to know that we are trying to do something to improve care of those with Alzheimer's disease by donating to research in his memory.
