MENINIGITIS NOW is a charity very close to our hearts. They have been supporting us since our son, Mattia, was struck on the 07/01/2011, by Meningitis B and Septicemia.

Luckily he managed to escape the claws of this deadly disease. Doctors gave him 20% survival chances. But he proved them wrong. He is now a boisterous, lively teenager, full of beans and energy to keep fighting his brother and sister ;) as well as all the challenges that meningitis has left him with.

I will be jumping into the void for only few seconds on the 21/09/24. But this is nothing compared to the void that Mattia's loss could have done to all of us. We have been very lucky and we try to keep helping others through Meningitis Now.

MENINIGITIS NOW è un'associazione benefica che ci sta molto a cuore. Ci sostengono da quando nostro figlio Mattia è stato colpito il 07/01/2011 da meningite B e setticemia.

Fortunatamente è riuscito a sfuggire agli artigli di questa malattia mortale. I medici gli avevano dato il 20% di possibilità di sopravvivenza. Ma lui ha dimostrato che si sbagliavano. Ora è un adolescente allegro e vivace, pieno di energia per continuare a lottare contro suo fratello e sua sorella ;) e contro tutte le sfide che la meningite gli ha lasciato.

Il 21/09/24 salterò nel vuoto per pochi secondi. Ma questo non è nulla in confronto al vuoto che la perdita di Mattia avrebbe potuto causare a tutti noi. Siamo stati molto fortunati e cerchiamo di continuare ad aiutare gli altri attraverso Meningitis Now.

MENINIGITIS NOW est une organisation caritative qui nous est très chère. Elle nous soutient depuis que notre fils, Mattia, a été frappé le 07/01/2011 par la méningite B et la septicémie.

Heureusement, il a réussi à échapper aux griffes de cette maladie mortelle. Les médecins lui donnaient 20% de chances de survie. Mais il a prouvé qu'ils avaient tort. Il est maintenant un jeune adolescent vif et dynamique, plein d'énergie pour continuer à se battre contre son frère et sa sœur ;) ainsi que contre tous les défis que la méningite lui a laissés.

Le 21/09/24, je sauterai dans le vide pour quelques secondes seulement. Mais ce n'est rien comparé au vide que la perte de Mattia aurait pu faire pour nous tous. Nous avons eu beaucoup de chance et nous essayons de continuer à aider les autres par l'intermédiaire de Meningitis Now.
