Story

PAPYRUS is the national Charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide.

Rick & Nicola are pushing the peddles on a 100 mile challenge as part of the Wonky Heart Challenge Team. We are not cyclist (haven’t been in a bike for many years and even then it was not often!) we are not fit (remember Rick has a dodgy ticker!) and youth is not on our side!

However, we are prepared to suffer saddle sores and jelly legs to help raise money for Papyrus as part of Karen & Paul’s epic challenge to mark ten years since the loss of their son Harry to suicide. Please help us to help other young people and raise awareness.

Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, every year over 1800 young people took their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINE247.

Every £5 raised can contribute towards a life-saving contact to HOPELINE247. Your donations really are lifesaving, thank you.
