Story

We are delighted to be participating in this collective effort to increase access to an excellent education. As you know, we are taking on the incredible challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Neither of us are seasoned runners, but we are determined to push our limits and represent the core values of Pembridge Hall: be aspirational, be kind, be curious, be resilient, be responsible, and be individual. This journey is not just about crossing the finish line; it's about embodying the spirit of our school and showing that with determination and support, anything is possible.

We have been training weekly, even through the cold winter months, to prepare for this event. It hasn't been easy, but our commitment to this cause and the support from our community have kept us going. Each run brings us closer to our goal and strengthens our resolve to make a difference.

We are running to raise funds for the Gold Standard Charitable Trust (GSCT), a cause that is very close to our hearts. The GSCT offers bursaries to talented pupils whose circumstances would otherwise put an independent school education beyond their reach. By providing financial assistance, the GSCT helps nurture the talent and potential of young people, ensuring they have access to outstanding education regardless of their financial background.

The Gold Standard Charitable Trust does an excellent job of making bursaries possible and bringing in fantastic, talented pupils whose family economic circumstances would otherwise prevent them from attending a school like Pembridge Hall. They are supporting 38 pupils with full and large bursaries this year.

The Trust does not have an endowment, so they rely on fundraising events and appeals - such as this Half Marathon campaign - to raise the necessary funds each year.

Every penny raised will go directly to support a child receiving a bursary.

Your support will not only motivate us to keep going but also make a significant impact on those in need. Every contribution, big or small, brings us one step closer to our goal.

Please donate whatever you can and join us in making a difference.

Thank you for your generosity and encouragement!

With gratitude, Sophie and Nicola

Thank you!
