Nicola and Janette Abseiling for Epilepsy Scotland

Falkirk Wheel Abseil · 15 March 2025 ·
Where will you be on 15th March?
Nicola and Janette are jumping, sorry, abseiling off the Falkirk Wheel to raise funds for Epilepsy Scotland. We lost our sister/daughter Samantha (just 19 years young) in June 2017 to SUDEP, a rare fatal, totally destructive outcome of having epilepsy. She was the light in every room and someone who never gave up no matter what came her way. She is missed so sorely and we want to give back to the charity who helped her.
Epilepsy Scotland advocate for those with epilepsy and their families, helping them at all and any points in their journey with this condition. They work with people living with epilepsy to ensure that their voice is heard. Around 58,000 people in Scotland live with epilepsy and they are here for anyone with this common serious neurological condition, their families, carers and employers. Samantha and Janette used their services, and they proved invaluable to us.
Epilepsy Scotland believe that people living with epilepsy have a right to be free from stigma and discrimination, have access to high quality medical, social, educational and support and information services, be valued and included in society and determine their own way of life. We know first hand just how important this is.
Please, - if you can - donate so that Epilepsy Scotland can continue their much needed work, if you can't, please share.
And please remember Samantha, and how she fought to live a life with this condition.
Thank you.
