On Saturday 23rd March Jacob and his friends will be walking cycling or scootering from The View - Winthorpe Beach to the Observatory at Chapel Point.
This is in support of The Haemophilia Society to raise vital funds and awareness to continue to support The Bleeding disorders community.
This year Jacob is raising the funds to support the amazing work the society do to create Youth Camps for our young haemophiliacs.
Every summer, they run a fun activity-packed few days for young people with haemophilia and other bleeding disorders. It gives them a great chance to make new friends and learn new skills.
The camp is for children aged between 9-15 years, and they have the opportunity to share their stories and make lifelong friends in the community.
The camp creates a safe environment for the children to be away from parents, maybe for the 1st time.
Up until now all Jacobs school trips involve me tagging along to make sure he is safe and to administer treatment in an emergency as required, Jacob is really excited to be able to go on a trip without me! All camps have experienced nurse volunteers and youth workers who can help the children with their treatment if needed.
Please join us in support of this great charity and the events they create for our young children and siblngs.
